Curated by LOUFRE Habitats: Holly Terry
This Week in Curated by LOUFRE Habitats: Holly Terry
At LOUFRE Habitats, this is our space to share the stories that inspire us—stories that build visions and create unique spaces. Each week, under Curated by LOUFRE Habitats, we highlight a new discovery that resonates with our values and creative journey.
This week, we are delighted to feature Holly Terry, a self-taught visual artist and art/design writer based on the Sunshine Coast/Kabi Kabi Country. Known for her unique and striking use of color, Holly’s abstract works are rich in emotion, telling the story of her journey through life and her quest for contentment. Her artwork has the power to beautifully resonate within an interior rich in material and color, bringing a vibrant energy that complements any space.

Working primarily on large-scale canvases, Holly’s works are infused with personal reflection and raw emotion. Her debut solo exhibition took place in March 2022 at Saint Cloche, Sydney, followed by a show at Fenton & Fenton in October 2022, and a collaborative exhibition with Hunter & Folk at HAKE, House of Art, in March 2023.

Holly’s distinctive color palettes, often bold and unexpected, invite us to explore new dimensions of feeling and connection. At LOUFRE Habitats, we celebrate her ability to transform any space with her art, adding depth, warmth, and an unforgettable atmosphere.
The Palette of Holly Terry
There’s something about Holly Terry’s work that draws you in, almost as if you could step inside it. Her use of color is not just a visual experience—it’s a statement. Each piece brings an undeniable sense of identity into a space, creating an atmosphere that feels both personal and profound. The way her abstract forms play with emotion and meaning transforms any room into something more dynamic, more alive.
Good art doesn’t just decorate a room—it shapes it. Holly’s pieces do just that, infusing each space with energy, depth, and a story to tell. It’s not merely about adding beauty, but about making a room feel truly lived in, a place where every corner invites you to reflect and engage. Art like this has the power to change the mood of a space, lifting it from ordinary to extraordinary.
